Birthdays and bruises.

Ouch! That result against Bolton really hurt! Both physically as well as psychologically. Honestly, our players were getting kicked from pillar to post! They're absolute brutes, aren't they? *sighs Well, I guess if you're playing in England you just have to deal with it. And I'm proud to see that we gave back as good as we got, with little Patrice leading the way! It was so amusing to see his battles with Davies.

That was about the only amusing thing about the whole game, because we were really poor in the first half. It looked as though the whole team was jet-lagged. You'd think they'd just got off the plane or something. And it didn't help that Cris was mysteriously absent, from the bench as well as the stands. Fergie says that he has a thigh strain. I hope its not too serious. But what awful timing to get injured! Can't really blame him I guess, he had  to play his heart out for Portugal in both their games, and the rest will do him good. And seriously, we should have been good enough to beat Bolton even without him.

I was really looking forward to Michael and Owen playing together, but sad to say they didn't really click at all. Bolton were all over us in the first half. Since Michael's just come back from injury, he was rather rusty and lacked his usual creativity. I think it would have been better to play Anderson alongside him, or in place of him. As soon as Anderson was introduced, the whole complexion of the game changed. He's really something, that kid is! It's amazing how he manages to grab the game by the scruff of the neck and turn it around! I know it may be a bit premature, but I think he'll definitely become as good as Scholesy one day!

The forwards, Carlos, Louis, Giggsy and Nani had a really poor game. That miss by Carlos was unbelievable! I had started to celebrate before I realised it had gone wide! Damn, we definitely deserved a point, based on the second half performance! Also, how I wish Pat had crossed the ball instead of going for goal right at the end. It would have been an easy tap in for Louis!

Oh well, it happens I guess. We were due a poor game, considering how fantastic we've been so far. And considering the fact that we were missing almost all of our creative players. Wazza, Ronnie please get well soon! We really need you!

And Damn, Arsenal just had to get that goal in right at the end, didn't they? And score another one for good measure!  Aren't they ever going to play away from home? They seem to be playing all their games at the Emirates! I suppose they'll be facing a few tough away games now, so we do have a chance of catching up. I have faith, my boys, you'll do better next time!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY to Xabi! He turns 26 today! Hope you get well soon, gorgeous!

And it was a great result for Liverpool yesterday! It looks like it's finally clicking for them, I'm glad to see. Hope they do well against Porto, they have to win to stay in the CL!
