Conner was a person like anyone else despite his powers. He ate, he slept, he dreamed. And lately his dreams were strange, connected maybe. Sometimes he saw his friends, those lost at Clearwater, lost. Sometimes he was watching a movie, or reading a comic, but all the words on the page or subtitles on the screen were replaced with just one word. "

Don reports for the meeting. While he's been occasionally uncomfortable in the role, he's always considered the Titans his friends.

Once a Titan, always a Titan... even if he died years ago.

He comes to the meeting to sit quietly in the corner.

Ray's tenure as a Titan is, in fact, a bit of a jumbled memory. He remembers he was one (and that he was kind of whiny, frankly), and he remembers Joto, Risk, Agent, Prysm, and Fringe, but the details are rather sketchy (he vaguely remembers fighting a cow-headed giant, but that probably never happened).

But he still feels responsible for the kids, and knowing that they were all possibly dead, well...

He needed to make up for that. And helping the other Titans was one way to do it.

A BOOM heralds the arrival of Power Boy. Grinning, the hero from Apokolips steps out of the Boom Tube and looks around the room. He's not really been a Titan for very long at all, having only joined up after the business with the assassins but he likes the team so far and is happy to come when called.

"Hello! I hope I'm not late for this meeting!" he laughs, not recognizing anyone but Superboy.

One of the Robins is here. No one will know what to think of him being alive. And still sixteen. He knows this but it doesn't matter. Once a Titan always a Titan.

He guesses not even death will stop him.

And suddenly he wonders if Power Girl got a cousin. What the hell. Power Boy is still weird to see.

Superboy is also a strange concept. The world is just weird.

Well, since everyone's here ....

Conner stood up in front when everyone had arrived. He took a deep breath, looking just a little awkward, still getting used to everything. Here goes something ...

"Hey everyone, it's good to see all of you guys." He tried to smile, but in the back of his mind, he was still trying to wrap his head around the fact that there were so few. "I know after Clearwater, things haven't been good, especially losing so many friends ... This is probably going to sound crazy, but I think they're alive out there somewhere."

Alive? For a moment, Ray's heart soared, but then sank. He was a pragmatist, not given to idle speculation or flights of fancy.

....He was also the oldest person here, which probably wasn't helping his mood.

"I hate to be the pessimist here, but what evidence do you have of that, Superboy?"

That was the question he was worried about, and where he might sound a few sandwiches short of a picnic. "I've been having these dreams.", He began sheepishly, "They all have one thing in common, everyone from Clearwater, and the word 'alive'. I know it sounds nuts, but this has been happening every night for two weeks, and it even happens in daydreams. If it's a coincidence, it's kind of a huge one." Superboy said, "And it's not the weirdest thing anyone here's dealt with." He was really hoping that sounded as good to the others has it did in his head.

Ray considered this.

"All right. That might mean something. God knows with that whole mess, just about anything is possible."

The aged Donna Troy -- the Time Trapper -- screams as the lights she's been projecting uncontrollably glow brighter... too bright to see...

And with a sudden final flash of light, the Titans and the Time Trapper are gone, leaving an empty room.
