Ok, it's been 3 weeks to this day now. I've gotten kind of used to not having my laptop, but now I want it back.
Easter was pretty nice. Grammy came over and my mom made dinner, which was a fruit salad and her famous Italian chicken. The salad was really good, but the chicken was a disappointment. It wasn't done right. I got a chocolate bunny and chocolate eggs from my mom.
I finished my reread of Neverwhere the other day. Boy my memory must really suck because it was almost like reading a new book. I know I first read it about 5 years ago, but still...still awesome though. I wish there was a sequel(s). I'd read tons of novels set in the world of London Below, if they existed. When visiting Washington D.C. again, it felt like I was visiting a new place too. I guess my memory really is that bad. Oh yeah, and my mom and I have a new love for subways. We like to point them out whenever we see one on like TV or in a movie or something. This is the beauty we traveled on. It's kind of cute. :P
Anyway, that's off topic. I still haven't received Avempartha. So, in the meantime I'm reading The Divine Invasion by Philip K. Dick. You know, I didn't realize this was the middle book of a trilogy. When I got it I was just picking a book by the author at random because I just assumed Philip K. Dick just wrote standalone novels. So, doesn't it just figure that I would pick the one that's part of a series? It's no matter though because I can still understand what's going on. If I didn't know it was part of a trilogy, I probably wouldn't think it was. So far, I really like it. It's bizarre, but interesting. If I like it to the end, I'll probably pick up the other two books at some point.
Now after this, it's very possible I might still finish The Divine Invasion even before I get Avempartha because it's short. In that case, I'm probably going to pick up a random book from my "Grab Bag" and read that until I get Avempartha, read it and switch back. I've decided to put off reading A Clash of Kings for now. I overcame temptation.
