I'm inching my way towards my diet. I ordered some books about the keto diet (basically, low carb) from the library. I also ordered a Vivofit 2 activity tracker from eBay. I like it better than the FitBit because it's waterproof, and I like it better than newer versions of it because you can replace the band. Plus it's an older model, so it's cheaper.

I'd like to join a fitness group class, but the Lincoln Park District's classes all are at inconvenient times for me. Hmm. The YMCA allows "active older adults" (55+) to walk in their gym for free. That's a plan for when the weather is bad! Wait, no, that's at a time when I can't do it (except on Fridays). The Yoga studio has a Yoga class and a "Circuit Sr." class at times at which I could take them.

Amazon Prime Video has a "free" Tai Chi video. Far out. Need to work on my balance.

Overslept, but I made up the time. Usually, I allow a lot of time to wake up and linger over breakfast, but I got moving right away. I forgot to print out my sample ballot, but I think that I know everything on it. Just need to double check my polling place.

Mimi has been walking around complaining most of the morning. It's a tough life, being a cat. Not.

Did my civic duty and voted. The joint was jumping, but there were no lines. I got out of there fast, and had time to stop by the dentist to get an itemized receipt. And I even got into work early!

I called about the girls' shots, and they aren't due until December. I forgot to make an appointment to board them though. I'll stop by later this week and make the appointment.

I decided what I want to do for my birthday on Monday. I want to get a massage, eat out, and then see Bohemian Rhapsody. The movie isn't getting great reviews, but it should be fun. I called to make an appointment for the massage, but the shop was closed.

Oh awesome. Governor Rauner is OUT! Democrat J.B. Pritzker won after an intense race that broke spending records. (Two rich men running for Governor. $$$$) The House races are too close to call. Well, they were when I wrote that. It looks like the Dems took the House. Gridlock in Washington is a Good Thing, I think.

Went to the grocery store and wound up buying some new and different frozen dinners. Yes, I do need to cook. It's been kind of a crazy week. Ate dinner with a cat draped over my shoulder. Zara, my food is MINE! (And why do you want Pesto Tortellini anyway? Weird cat :)) x-posted from Dreamwidth
