Walking in a Winter Wonderland. In Freaking October.

Holy mackerel. We did get snow. And it's still snowing. The snow has finally stopped. I guess that we got 2 or 3 inches. That is throwing my routine off because I have to allow time to blow-dry my hair and brush the car off.

Mimi is blocking the entryway from the bedroom to the kitchen, presumably to keep Zara from going into the kitchen. So I called her from the kitchen table, "Come here, Mimi, and get fur on my pants!" What cat could resist that?

I ate out instead of going home to avoid trick-or-treaters. I suck, but I only have a limited amount of time to eat dinner, plus I had to run errands.

I checked out a book from the library called Made from Scratch. It's about a woman who ultimately started a farm, but it also mentions small ways that you can make things from scratch (grinding coffee beans, making bread, sewing, etc.) She has an interesting blog too. Don't expect me to raise chickens any time soon. :-P

A little girl in Chicago was shot while she was trick-or-treating. That makes me feel sick.

I found a missing library book. Sometimes it's the little things in life. I'll return it tomorrow.

After I eat, I'm going to work on my crocheting course. My friend Jude said that she's going to clean out her yarn stash and see what she can give me. After I pay a bill and see if my automatic payments went through. Glad that I checked my bills because my rent won't start automatic payments until December.

I think that I'll skip crocheting and just go to bed. It's gotten late, plus I want to make some phone calls before running my errands. It just occurred to me that I could call the gym with which I keep trying to get in touch and maybe get squared away that way. Anyway, I want to call Comcast and cancel cable and get Sling if they don't lower my bill enough.
