Who's Playing What? SV Alums Doing Stuff...

~Warner Bros. and Zack Snyder, who managed to eke out fan support of “Man of Steel” even though a great number of fans were disappointed by its representation of Superman, is now trying its luck by announcing the casting of Ben Affleck as Batman in their upcoming Superman/Batman mashup sequel to “Man of Steel”.

Ach, Mizz Dawnybee, I love you so much! You make me cry tears of laughter!

Who knew Jared was so bitchy? He made me laugh because he is kind of a bitch and i like that really, Ben sucked as Daredevil, he's gonna do better as Batman? I'm old enough to remember the cosmic scream when Michael Keaton was chosen as Batman--I personally was ready to burn the mother down--as we were wont to say when I was wee--but he is to this date my hands-down favorite Batman. JDM would have been perfect, but we never get nice things ( ... )

He gets froggish on Twitter, doesn't he? Next he'll be on Nick Cannon's Wilding Out, sassy pants.

Ben sucked as Daredevil, he's gonna do better as Batman?

He ruined a character no one gave a damn about but was still incensed out how bad he was in it and now DC/WB is trusting him with their #2 world favorite? What kind of blackmail material does Affleck have on Snyder.

I remember that. No one could understand Mr. Mom playing Batman.

I have a hard time gauging what makes a good Batman versus a good Bruce Wayne. I loved Val Kilmer's Bruce Wayne but I don't think anyone post-Keaton got the Batman part right.

JDM would have been perfect, but we never get nice things.Casting JDM would be too much like doing right. When I heard his name floated I thought he had it cinched. And ( ... )

Whew! I did that startled, jerk-away from the screen thing. Uhm! I take it back, lil' J2.

Ah the Good Old Days...Now That Is What Rosenbaum Should have Named It... chatchien August 24 2013, 01:04:52 UTC
Interesting info on James Badge Dale. I knew that he was Miss Morris's son but I didn't know who his daddy was. So marrying straight was the Gay Conversion Therapy of the 1960s? There are some people today who still think it will still work for those "cursed sodomites".

Mr. Dale has become a very interesting and watchable character actor. I didn't care much for his lead role in Rubicon but he was good in The Pacific and played a very interesting character in a very depressing movie,Flight. He is on track to become one of those Great Hollywood character actors like Claude Rains who made every 1940s movie even better by just showing up ( ... )

That's the show! I kept thinking it was "The Killing". I just know out of the blue he was on the scene and in everything.

He is on track to become one of those Great Hollywood character actors like Claude Rains who made every 1940s movie even better by just showing up.

He's really good. And I can't wait to see him in a scene longer than five minutes. I think Hollywood needs to reclaim character actors from lead actors. Now traditional leading men and women take these character roles but I don't think they have the bodies, attitudes, faces for it. I miss the JT Walshes, Sandy Dennis' of the acting world.

And Fatty A(rbu)clkes has a daughter now?

He took time out from the buffet at Lubbys to procreate.

Lordy! It has been an aeon since I have seen or even thought about SPN.

JJ. I DIDNT EVEN THINK ABOUT THAT!

Does this mean that I lose my Seasons 1-4 membership in the SPN Appreciation FanGurl League? I just don't have the necessary obsessive thought processes to sustain shipping. But I must have because I did it for SV all those delightful years.

I saw Mr. Sheehan in Accused, a sort of anthology of crime stories Brit TV program. He was very crazy and fey in that one. And he was in Red Riding too. He played an very effeminate homeless gay rent boy in that one. Both were good shows.

Mr. Sheehan is what Helena Bonhma Carter should be in the Fashion World. She has fallen off her eccentricity and quirkiness lately.

I've seen the Triple Cream Cheese of The Haves and Have Nots! Love Mr. Schnieder,

I have to remember this date. Someone who actually has watched that show? I've never seen it nor has encountered anyone who has. Is it as terrible as I think it is? As terrible as Perry's other shows? Which are terribly terrible.

but my favorite characters are his addict son and his addicts son's gay keeper. I want to see some chained in the basement action to keep the addict off drugs with those two.

That has my attention.

Blair Brown looked great in Fringe with that platinum hair. I guess that made her go for it in real life. That lady just has great hair whether it be red or white.

I love the platinum. I had a coworker who since I knew her had been dying her hair jet black and finally she let it grow out and her hair was a gorgeous silver. We told her "never dye it again".

Why is Tom Welling's name NOT ON THAT POSTER! WTF?There is a second poster with the TIFF logo and his name is at the bottom with the other fifty actors in the film. Someone ( ... )

I still haven't forgiven Baffleck for stealing Canada's big heroic moment in Argo so this fan uproar is amusing to me. I actually think he's a good actor but based on Zak Snyder's previous work, can't conceive of a scenario in which this movie won't suck. DudeBros should not direct Comic book movies. Snyder lost me a year ago when he said Superman is corny and cheesy.

I love that the Smallville people are all so cute together on twitter. Still have warm fuzzies over Michael speaking up for his Tom at recent Con.

Cannot wrap my head around a hetero Cassidy - was sure you had pegged her correctly.

“Who are the other people who are gonna be coming on the show? Are they gonna be good? Because it's The CW, and everyone has to be pretty, and there aren't a lot of pretty people that can act well. I'm not joking! I'm one of them, that can act well. Not to sound s**tty about it, but casting is always tough. I feel like they worked so hard on casting this show... and hopefully they just continue to put great actors in."LOL. I thought ( ... )

I expect an effigy to go up in a day or so. They are flaying him online.

Snyder is a hack. He should stick to cinematography or animated films ("The Guardians of Golway or whatever that owl movie was named was beautifully directed. A bore, but beautiful) He's a hammy, hacky director whose currency are slo-mo shoots.

Together they are going to take the beauty out of Superman. I would be fine if Snyder was shooting a Batman film because that's grittiness is his style. But Superman? "Man of Steel" was devoid of magic, light, hopefulness.

Still have warm fuzzies over Michael speaking up for his Tom at recent Con.He has to defend his boy. No one puts Tom in the corner ( ... )
