Hey-- just got back from hiking for 2+ weeks on the LT. Had a great time, but after a while I got lonely and got sick of the mud and lack of views. I'm going down to VA to hike with James in the Shanandoahs for a while before I go to pennsic. So I've gone through and figured out where I'll be (approximately) for every night of the trail. It doesn't make a whole lot of sense without looking at a map (most are shelter names) so my three town stops (mail drops) are below. There may be one more between the first two. Recently, I decided to do the Long Trail. I'll be leaving July 10, and will be back near the beginning of August. I'll be in Amherst until I leave, and I will be going to pennsic shortly after I get back from the trail. James's philodendren of doom is nicely situated among my curtains and window, the big map of the AT is hanging up on my wall, and we had a lovely weekend. I've a month of school left, and lots of papers to write and thousands of pages to read between now and then. It will be an interesting month to say the least. the air speed velocity of an unladen swallowin other news, I had a good break, and got much face time with James, which is always good. We went on a thoroughly enjoyable hike on Saturday with Henri up the cascade brook trail to Lonesome Lake. Well then. This break was good. I went on a lovely diving trip with my father. I spent more nights than not sleeping next to my sweety. Went on a wonderfully chill (and chilly) hike. Went to a fantastic show, and CoSM with James, Ashley and Henri. I started many projects, and finished a few. Many books read. Overall things are good. It's nice to ( Read more... )

I just got back from a four day hike through the Pemigewasset Wilderness with James. It was an amazing trip, full of wonderful views, lovely mountains, endorphin highs you just can't top, perfect weather, cuddlin with my sweety, and a blessing from the King Moose. more behind the cut.
