school orientation
I just got back from orientation at M.I. (musicians institute). This place is awsome. They have so many studios and project labs on site its unreal. It's like a playground for techno gearhead geeks (like me). They also have a couple live play auditoriums for concerts that are fully equipped and staffed for your use. The first thing they tell you is that everything there is yours to use. You want amps, guitars, drums, keyboards, sound equipment, studio gear, racks, effects... on and on and on. Unreal.
My class schedule is gonna be wicked heavy. I have classes Mon-Fri from 10-4, then labs from 4pm on, plus studio time, rehearsal time, private lessons... I can't wait to get started. Any thoughts of a part time job just went out the window, I'll more than likely be spending more than 50-60 hours a week there. the school itself is open 24/7 for students. If I want to use a studio at 2 in the morning, I'm welcome to it. All I can say is...wow. I'm gonna be soooo busy. Perfect.
