Parking place drove us straight to the terminal. Checked our luggage curbside. Flight was noisy but OK--excellent seats (emergency exit seat with empty space in front of me), only two and a half hours. Follow up to the earlier contraception issue post.

We met Shoshana's new gynecologist yesterday, and she is wonderful (I was there as an interested party to the issue of choosing a form of contraception). She sees no reason Shoshana should not continue taking hormonal contraceptives for the next 3-4 years, but is switching her to a lower dose pill ( Read more... )

Four of Shoshana's paintings were sold on Saturday at the BWAC show in Red Hook, Brooklyn. On Sunday we brought four replacement paintings to the exhibit, and they are hanging on Shoshana's panel. The show continues on weekends through June 15.

Yesterday morning I went to my friend Lois' funeral, had lunch with my friend Estha after the funeral, worked out at the gym in the afternoon, and saw the "Suitcase Paintings" exhibit at the Baruch College Gallery with Shoshana in the evening after which we had Indian food at Pongal.

Two months ago I posted that we were trying out a new shul and thinking of switching. We indeed switched and are now members of PSJC. High Holiday services included more English than we would like, but on the other hand there is a warmth and enthusiasm that we found lacking at our old shul; Shoshana said she has not heard such enthusiastic singing ( Read more... )

It was a good vacation for us, less so for Sasson who hates 1) being in the carrier, 2) traveling by car, and regurgitated twice at my in-laws (a cold couple who did not know how to relate to our sensitive emo cat, though they did let him sleep with them).
