First one
So I decided to finally post my first journal entry. Actually this is the first time I have made time or had time. So, my summer has been amazing so far. I just stopped working for a very generous and friendly family in St. Charles. They paid me $15 the first week and $10 the next two. That made up for all the weeks where the temp agency didnt call. I also got lots of free stuff. The job was almost always different and interesting. I mean, how many people do you know get to hold a basket ball sized Nickel-Iron Meteorite and move a Citrine Quartz crystal the size of a toddler. (I am not kidding the crystal was around 2 feet tall and about 10 inches in diameter). The quartz was amazing, they had a stand and a light shining through it. The imagination is set on fire if anyone looks at it. They also have around a 5-6 foot tall amethyst geode, along with many other gems and fossils. Hey, when someone is rich they dont know how to use there money for more useful things. I could go on and on about what I did at work, but I am afraid it would bore some to tears. Anyway, along similar lines as the above topic. I am still reading and taking notes for a geology class which I leave for in one week. I cant wait to go to South Dakota and Wyoming to look at rocks and beautiful scenery. College starts 4 days after I get back from the geology trip on August 26th.
