Folkestone Visit

Aug 11, 2023 21:31

Well, that good sunshine did not last. Today we were back to murkiness, despite being muggy around 24C.

I headed off to Folkestone to do another mystery shop at a mobile phone retailer. After doing that visit, i found a CD in Oxfam for a quid, and then had breakfast at Spoons there. The pub is called the Samuel Peto.

After my late brekkie, I walked to the old part of the town towards the steep hilly The Old High Street. This leads to the harbour area. I found a record shop there selling mostly new vinyl and some second-hand stock, I bought a second-hand LP for five pounds.
This was the first time I walked down the old part of town, and was pleased to find an excellent independent record store.

These are the two finds from teh town - the LP was by the Loose Tubes from 1985.

I arrived home around five and had a spicy prawn and chicken paella.
