Is it analogous to say that today was like a game of football? Football is made of two halves with an interval. In the first half, we had dull overcast gloomy weather, but after the interval of midday, the afternoon was much brighter, and sunnier. With that acknowledgment, I did not pop out to go to town till the afternoon.
I sold a few paperbacks at Past Sentence and then bought some items from the supermarket before heading home. I did not want to stay long in town due to the fact I was towards the end of, or in the final chapters, of three books I was reading, including the Naomi Klein book.
So, in essence, it has been a heavy day of reading with some of the music of Haydn's symphonies in the background.
A bottle of quality wine also goes well with the stimulating aspect of good books and music.
Lunch was a fusion dish of Thai-style chicken curry with spiced potatoes, chickpeas, and sweet potato chunks.
Very satisfying, and different from my usual fare.
Tomorrow, I will be traveling to Brighton to see my brother.
