The Newdog15 presents: Luck be an Empty Vessel for my Poisonous, Flesh-Destroying Seed Tonight!
As always, comments - be they anonymous or be they otherwise - are both welcome and encouraged.
This was a bit of a challenge to write for me; writing a main protagonist who cannot be written with any regular earth references (with the exception of two or three little "cheats" I allowed myself), and also without the desire to devolve too far into Star-Trek-ish tech speak or alien mumbo-jumbo and gobbledygook, is extremely limiting. And while there are times when limitations can themselves produce new opportunities, I will say that I am very glad this one was only 16 pages long, since I felt like I was essentially out of good material to write for the World-Drinker some time around page 13 or so.
All of which, basically, is to say that I hope I was able to continue to entertain through to the end, in spite of the difficulties I presented myself with the premise.
