Well, so far so good. I've worked 3 days so far. 8 Hours a day, 8 weeks in summer, 8 5 days a week to go! Except I fully expect to take some of those weeks off. Just need to see which weeks have a long weekend and remember to work on those.

Instead of being in either one of the SHIPPING departments I told you about, I work in the DOOR WAREHOUSE with Manfred. All day I spend hanging out with a guy 1 year my senior, in a quiet environment moving doors around. Pretty easy, but starting next week I'm back in the other building.

I started writing something, we'll see if it's a short story or a novella or a novel, or maybe a film starring topher grace? So far, it's a paragraph, and a pretty short one made up entirely of sentence fragments. It sort of continues something I've been trying to express before, in summers past, through first a computer game, and then later an animation. So in short, the project keeps devolving and soon it will be a horrible amoeba shaped like a broken heart

In keeping with people like revvy (i think) here's some books I read! Gonna try to read this summer, y'see

JPod by Douglas Coupland
I have never read a Doug Coupland book before, so I dunno if this is sort of his style, but if it is I'd totally read more. It was great, it incorporated internet memes and really great funny writing. The best part is when Douglas Coupland himself arrived on the scene and started being a huge jerk to everyone. I recommend it to people who are like me.

Ender's Game by Orson Scott Card
It was pretty good, some parts better than others. The whole time I couldn't wrap my head around how the main character was like, a tiny baby child. I got kind of sick of the description of Ender's battle tactics and the way that they kept making things impossible for him wore down on me. Also, the ending got really strange and spiritual and stuff! But all in all, it was a cool read.

feeling this has a good chorus OK :(

novel, work, music, books
