Dani was restless. She was a little bored, a little lonely, and just a little bit homesick. She reasoned that the cure for at least two of those would be finding somewhere that had people. The pool smelled too much, and the chlorine scent was even starting to edge into the rec room up there.

No one else seemed to notice; she decide she simply had an over sensitive nose.

Either way, she thought she'd try her luck with the lounge. If nothing else, she could see if she could find someone up for a chat - or just someone to watch TV with.

Clad in black jeans, a white scoop-neck blouse, and barefoot, Dani made her way to the lounge. Her wand was tucked in plain sight, jutting out of her hip pocket - but she wasn't concerned with hiding it, here.

When she realized someone else was present, she smiled slightly. "Bo'jour," she greeted - until she realized he might be sleeping. She pressed a hand to her mouth and flushed slightly.

Dark hues flew open as his head snapped up. He knew he wasn't alone in this place, but he also wasn't expecting someone that quickly. Okay, so maybe he was, but that was besides the point. He shifted on the couch a bit to sit more upright as he took in the new form that entered the lounge. Though the first thing he caught aside from the blouse was the wand. Right, he wasn't about to question that. He had no need to. But he also sought comfort in this, that meant there were people that probably had powers like him. The ease of fitting in just became less complicated ( ... )

"I didn't mean to wake you," Dani admitted with a bit of an apologetic tone to her voice. "I am Danielle Legard. I 'ave recently arrived," she admitted softly. "Just a few days ago. I trust you are new as well?" She took his hand lightly in her own, shaking it gently before releasing it ( ... )

"Hn? Oh. I wasn't sleeping. Just, trying to piece things together so to speak." He in turn would also shake her hand gently, obviously being much stronger physically the last thing he needed to do was break the poor girls hand. "Nice to meet you too, Danielle." Once the formal gesture was over he tucked his hands into the back pockets of his jeans, almost forgetting he had shoved the bills that turned out to be currency in there. "Yeah. I, well you could say I just got here. Woke up in a rather unfamiliar room." Normally in his younger days, that wouldn't have been so abnormal to him. Now, it was a tad creepy. But hey, creepy was right up his alley ( ... )

So, it had taken her seven minutes, not five, but she'd had a bit of an issue with figuring out what to do with her hair before she'd settled for just braiding it. After a last check in the mirror and snagging one of her fluffy bath towels, Dani had hurried across to the pool.

There were so many nice things to be said for living on the first floor, she realized with a grin. Granted, she had to put up with the sounds from the lounge on occasion, but it had been eerily quiet lately.

After dropping her towel down on the bench, she glanced around 'til she spotted him. "So we meet again," she called teasingly before she started to take off her rings and earrings, reasoning she should have done that upstairs - but she hadn't thought about it then. Oh, well.

"So indeed we do." The brighter side to being a guy, it took a lot less time to change. That and maybe he even rushed just a little for reasons unknown. What he did know, is that in his rushing he damn near sent himself ass over heels down the final flight of steps. Not that he'd even come close to admitting that out loud.

He fiddled with the band around his right ring finger as he casually watched her remove the jewelry she had donned herself with. At least Adam had made the Comm Links waterproof. Even if he hadn't he still wouldn't take it off.

However he let the fiddling get the best of him as he completely submerged himself in it for a bit. So by the time she were done, he wouldn't have noticed it. He as half leaned against a chair of some sort as the muscles in his forearm twitched with the fiddling.

Dani glanced over to him, pale brows elevating before she stepped to the edge of the pool. Most people said you should just jump right in, but she preferred to ease herself into things - at least when it came to water. So she circled 'round to the shallow end to start down the stairs there. "Coming in?" she called over to him.

But he had seemed a bit ... distracted? Maybe he was having second thoughts on the matter - or first day moodswings. She'd had a fair few of those herself the first couple of days, really, but she'd come to more or less accept her given situation now. Things were what they were. She was here, she was needed, and she'd stay. Stick it out as long as she could, and then ... see where things went from there.

Her words broke him from his little daydream. "Hn..yeah. I'm comin' in." He pushed himself from the chair and made his way towards the edge of the pool. While she took the stairs approach he went for the less subtle. Finding the edge, he didn't quite jump in. Instead, he dropped to sit at the edge of the shallow end. No need to head straight for the deep-end. Not yet at least.

Finally easing himself into the water, not that it was cold; the water was fine, but there was no need to make a splash. Settling himself into the giant mass of liquid he made his way to the blonde. "Taking the slower approach?" He chuckled softly before dipping below the surface and reappearing shortly after. Hands would come up to slick his now wet locks back to keep them from straying into his face.

Dani wasn't overly familiar with Muggle technology - she'd never really had a cause to get familiar with it. She'd figured out the remote, and the TV was still extremely fascinating to her - though she'd yet to quite figure out TV series. Movies she got, but the fact that series actually followed a longer story was mystifying to her.

Showered and dressed in pajama pants and a tanktop, Dani was settled on one of the couches that wasn't The Couch - which was thankfully empty. There was a blanket on the back of it if she got cold, and her wand was resting on the table beside the couch; all she needed now was a Brennan.

In the mean time, she was flipping through the channels, looking for a show she was familiar with to kill the time before he showed up.

Mid flight he skidded to a halt and back tracked. It's not like they were going anywhere else tonight so there was no reason to be as dressed up as he was. Redirecting himself to his room he quickly tossed off his boots, shirt and trench coat before opting to use one of the provided shirts. Part of him wanted to make it a bit more his style and rip off the sleeves but part of him also felt bad for having previously destroyed a pair of pants ( ... )

"I don't know," she said as she offered him the remote. "I do not 'ave a TV where I am from, so I do not know what is good and what is not." She took in his attire and kind of grinned before glancing back toward the television. "'ave a good shower?" she inquired playfully before she leaned back against the couch.

She curled one leg under her, the foot tucking under her thigh as her other bare foot hovered just over the floor, tapping lightly to music that existed only in her own head.

" 'Bout as good a shower as any." Bren took a hold of the remote, flicking through the stations. Seemed like nothing was on, then again even back at Sanctuary, television always seemed like a backup plan if they had nothing better to do.

Still unable to find something that would hold both of their attentions he settled the remote in the space between them. "I think a movie is our safest choice."
