Dark hues flew open as his head snapped up. He knew he wasn't alone in this place, but he also wasn't expecting someone that quickly. Okay, so maybe he was, but that was besides the point. He shifted on the couch a bit to sit more upright as he took in the new form that entered the lounge. Though the first thing he caught aside from the blouse was the wand. Right, he wasn't about to question that. He had no need to. But he also sought comfort in this, that meant there were people that probably had powers like him. The ease of fitting in just became less complicated.

That was when he realized that part of him still had manners. With a push he erected himself into a stance, smoothing out the black dragon print shirt back over his jeans. "..Uh..hey" He wasn't overly sure about how to advance this situation but he went with his gut instinct, despite the fact it usually ended up the wrong way.

While he may have had manners, his ability to speak to people he's never met still lacked something to be desired. Granted he at least remembered that, when a situation like this came up, best bet was to introduce himself. She seemed harmless enough. Meaning, she wasn't out right attacking him, this was a good sign. "I'm..uhm. Brennan." With that Bren would hold out his hand towards her, at least his charm never left him.

"I didn't mean to wake you," Dani admitted with a bit of an apologetic tone to her voice. "I am Danielle Legard. I 'ave recently arrived," she admitted softly. "Just a few days ago. I trust you are new as well?" She took his hand lightly in her own, shaking it gently before releasing it.

Though she had to wonder how new he was; she'd never seen him before. To be fair, she hadn't really spent a lot of time looking for new faces. "It is nice to meet you, Brennan, either way." She smiled softly before she moved to settle into a seat, tucking her legs up under her to keep her feet warm. Withdrawing her wand from her pocket so it didn't poke her, she tucked it between the cushion and the arm of her seat.

Hazel eyes drifted over him, taking in his features and attire, and she tried to place him given what she knew of the various places, times, and realities she'd heard of here. She thought Earth for sure - Bel was the only one from another planet. She guessed from a time in her past. She was a bit stuck on his reason for being called, but she thought that would come in time.

"Hn? Oh. I wasn't sleeping. Just, trying to piece things together so to speak." He in turn would also shake her hand gently, obviously being much stronger physically the last thing he needed to do was break the poor girls hand. "Nice to meet you too, Danielle." Once the formal gesture was over he tucked his hands into the back pockets of his jeans, almost forgetting he had shoved the bills that turned out to be currency in there. "Yeah. I, well you could say I just got here. Woke up in a rather unfamiliar room." Normally in his younger days, that wouldn't have been so abnormal to him. Now, it was a tad creepy. But hey, creepy was right up his alley.

He watched with mild amusement as she tucked the wand away. "Magic?" Of course he had a bit of his natural playful tone, but there was an underlying seriousness about it. To him, magic was real. But that's because people with mutant abilities could be considered magical. Though, he wasn't in any rush to see just what exactly she could do with that thing, save for maybe pulling a rabbit out of a hat.

Shifting to move again, he rested against the opposing arm of the couch. An inward grin tugged at the corners of his lips as he just barely caught her hues scanning over him. He would have returned the gesture but he had gotten quite the eyeful open her entering. No need to make her feel like he was checking her out. That was the last thing he needed. First impressions gone wrong were something Brennan chose to avoid at all costs.

Well. If he wasn't going to be the only one in this lounge he might as well try to strike up a conversation. Maybe get the layout and the cliff-notes version of why he was brought here. "So, exactly what is this place, and how, no, more so why am I here?" He trailed off as brown eyes flickered to the television set for half a second before returning their soft gaze to the woman next to him.

"Oui. I am a witch," she said. "A 'ealer, too. I work at St. Mungo's in London, though I doubt you would 'ave 'eard of it if you are a Muggle." And she reasoned that he was, if he had to inquire about her wand.

To his question, she tilted her head. "Mm. Why you are 'ere would depend on what you can do? Most people 'ere 'ave some talent or another - they are witches or wizards like myself, or they 'ave some other sort of magic or elemental control. Some are ..." she hesitated as she tried to recall the word. "Mutants?" She thought that was it. "And some are simply your average human with no extraordinary talent at all ... these tend to be catalysts for one of the more powered individuals. I am not exactly sure what they mean by that, so I could not explain it," she admitted - in case he'd intended to follow up with an inquiry about it.

"As far as what this place is, we are trapped within a bubble that exists outside of space and time. I am not sure 'ow that works, but we 'ave been assured that when we return to our own realities when it is over, we will not 'ave lost any time there, or gone missing or anything like that." She paused, then grinned a little. "So what can you do? Are you a catalyst or do you 'ave some powers?"

He almost wanted to ask here exactly what at 'Muggle' was but decided against it as he continued to listen to her. He knew most of it from the letter, he just wanted it confirmed, or at least the reason for him being here. Hearing the term 'Mutants' also gave him a bit of hope. That meant there were more of his kind here, which in turn meant, maybe his friends or at least Shal. That little reminder caused him to pause in this thought process as fiddle with the band of metal around his right ring finger.
He rolled his against the pad of his thumb before once again returning his attention to the...witch

"So, while we're here, we don't lose any time in the realm from which we came.." He trailed off being that it wasn't an actual question, more along the lines of reiterating it for better understanding of what was being explained to him. Well, that means if Shal isn't here, and I manage to get some answers and possibly a location on her and the others; when I get back, I won't have lost any time. Excellent. That alone caused his features to ease, brow un-furrowing.

"I'm what's called a genetically engineered superhuman, or more accordingly, a New Mutant. I'm an Electrical Elemental." For more theatrical use, he held his hand out in front of him, and allowed small Tesla coils emerge from his fingertips before closing his fist to disperse the currents. "I can light people up like Christmas tree's." With that he blew a small puff of air into his fist to make a small cloud of electrical dust particle's hover in the air before them. Typical Brennan Mulwray. He just had to show off.

She nodded to his reiteration, though she opted not to mention the bits about people here wanting to use knowledge they'd gained of their futures to change said futures. He likely didn't need any ideas - or encouragement if he already had the idea.

But Dani supposed she was biased; she happened to be from one of the futures a certain witch was trying to alter. Granted, Dani didn't really think her family would be at all affected, but she didn't like the idea either way.

"Electrical," she echoed, her head canting. That was new. "We 'ave ice and fire and we 'ave an earth elementalist 'ere. But this is the first I 'ave seen of electrical," she admitted as she watched the dust floating about. "It is useful, non?"

"Very useful. Great for cheating at basketball" That again brought another fond memory of his friend Jessie. Of playing basketball in Sanctuary and he used his power to jump over Kilmartin. A low chuckle became the result of said induced memory.

So, there was ice, fire, and earth. None of those fit the descriptions of his friends, which almost made him frown though he managed to shrug it off for the most part. He wasn't going to let him get his mood down. Not yet at least. It was bad enough each night he spent a few hours calling into his Comm ring, just for the slight chance he'd hear a familiar voice chime in. No such luck, he's been doing that every night for nearly three months now, and still no avail.

"So this letter, that was in my room, mentioned something about a struggle. That we're aiding the side of Order and Light..." He trailed off, piecing everything together, that if others like him were brought here rather than requested there was some sort of altercation thing going on. "..I'm guessing it's a good versus evil kind of...struggle?" He didn't really need an answer, he was smart enough to put it all together in his head. Though, again, hearing it from another person did help.

"Oui, just today we 'ad a task. They invaded us and we invaded them, though I do not believe it went very well. We only retrieved one item, I 'eard, and one of our people is in the medlab overnight. I went to check on 'im a bit ago. 'e was attacked," she gestured to her own chest to show where, "with ice? 'e had some very extensive damage, but between myself and Corey and the Muggle doctors, 'e will be fine. Likely will not even 'ave scars."

She tilted her head slightly. "'ave you gone to check in yet?" Though she wondered if that was as important any more since they had a psychic checking new people. Or so she'd heard, but hadn't the psychic been distracted once and that was why people had to check in?

Well, she wasn't going to worry too much about it. If he was a spy, he was a very good one. Or a very bad one, since he'd told her about his powers. He did seem properly confused though, so Dani nodded to the conclusion she'd drawn.

"Sounds like a lucky break..or well lucky..icicle?" Wow, his sense of humor was so horridly off the ball today. Not that he cared much. Not a time for funnies just yet. Hearing that they were invaded, meant that he'd have to really be on this toes. Not that this was any different. He's invaded Genomex before with little to no difficulties, then again he also trained religiously before invading for that fact, thanks to Adam.

His head tipped, another look of confusion washed over his features as she mentioned the checking in bit. "...check in?" Was he aware that he was supposed to do that? Probably. Did he remember? Obviously not. "Mind telling me where, and point in the direction of which I need to head, to do so?" He'd probably end up getting lost since they were new surroundings, but hey, what better way to learn where everything is.

Running his hands through his hair, he slowly started to make sense of the place. Not that it was very much sense, but it was getting there. Though maybe this checking in thing would make it even easier. Hell if he knew. But if they needed his ability, then well as long as it were for the good side of things he figured helping out couldn't be to bad.

"Just in the town 'all," she said. "It is 'ard to miss. It is the largest building that is not the dorms. I believe Icetenari 'as an office upstairs there." She did wonder what kind of shape Ice was in after the event, but since there had been no casualties, she thought it might be all right.

"I could take you, if you were inclined?" Danielle offered. "If you wanted an escort, I mean. I do not believe it takes long," she continued with a little smile. "When I checked in, as soon as she discovered I was a 'ealer, I was sent down to the medlab to 'elp out. But I arrived on a day when some of the people 'ere 'ad been kidnapped to the other side. Some of them were in bad shape."

"Bad shape.." He knew the meaning of bad shape. Hell he's been there a few times. Okay, so it was more than a few times. But that was something he really didn't need to get into. At least not at the current moment. "Hn. Well granted I'm not a healer by any meaning of the word..but I am pretty much a walking defibrillator." At least that was one thing he owed Adam for. He learned that he could control the power of his element. Making it just a little static shock, or enough to stop and start a heart.

Brennan offered a small smile as she offered to take him to where he needed to go. Perhaps that would be best. Albeit wandering around did make you learn your way quicker, perhaps it wasn't in his best interest to do that just yet, at least not while he was this new. He didn't need people firing anything at him. Not at this given moment.

"..I'd appreciate that.." A low chuckle left his throat as he pushed himself into a standing position once more. Hands instinctively slipped into his front pockets as he cast a small glance in her direction. "After you, ma'am.." Was he usually this formal? Hell no. Maybe it was just his humorous side trying to poke through again.

She slipped her wand out of the couch, sliding it back into her pocket as she rose. "Afterwards, if you'd like, I could give you a bit of a tour?" she offered. "I 'ave learned the 'ighlights of this place at least."

Chuckling softly, Dani started out of the lounge. She was a little amused by the ma'am, and she thought about pointing out that his American was showing ... but there were a fair few Yanks here, so she let it go.

Outside of the lounge, she gestured toward the door to the pool. "We 'ave a swimming pool there. It is fairly new. I believe there are some 'ot tubs and another games room off to the side as well," she murmured before she pivoted to point down the hallway. "The cafeteria is there." Since those were the only two landmarks of interest in the dorms - besides the lounge, which he'd already seen - Dani continued outside.

Stepping onto the lawn, she pointed off toward the business district. "There are shop and restaurants there, if you need clothing or supplies, or do not feel like the cafeteria." Flashing him a smile to see if he was keeping up, Dani gestured him to follow as she started off toward the town hall.

"..Yeah sure. Tour sounds good." At least this way he'd learn where to find some sort of excitement if need be. Though he made it a point to avoid the pool as much as he could. Showering was one thing, but swimming, not so much. His powers and water never really went hand in hand. Then again, neither did his power and indoor sprinkler systems. While electrocuting others was fun and all, being on the receiving end of your own powers, not so nearly as entertaining.

Following her was like when he was given the tour of Sanctuary, granted there really wasn't a whole lot to his old home, but it still felt the same. That was enough to give him that small warm and fuzzy feeling on the inside. Dark brown orbs would glance in the direction of which she pointed, clothing did sound good. Though he could just as easily make do with what was provided back in his room.

Bren flashed a smile of his own back to her as he easily kept in stride with her. Longer legs were often an advantage when trying to keep up. "..Hey..thanks for showing me around and such. I owe ya', better than wandering around like an aimless lost idiot." He nodded to this. The last thing he needed was to end up wandering into the wrong part of town. That could either lead to something rather entertaining and interesting, or something detrimental to his health.

"Well, if it 'ad not been me, it would 'ave been someone else. People 'ere are ... very friendly." She paused. "Very friendly," she emphasized. After all, it wasn't uncommon to see two people snogging against a wall or on The Couch or something. "I suppose I should warn you," she began with a little grin. "What exactly is meant by that? It is not uncommon for people to ... ah ... 'ook up? on their first day 'ere. Sometimes they do not even make it to a room."

There'd been enough of that, and several of those sorts were still in couples, so she supposed it wasn't all bad. But he'd figure it out over time. Unless he asked to go home - but so far, not a lot of people had. Or so she'd heard.

Dani smiled lightly to him as she continued across the grass toward the town hall.

Great so this place was becoming sort of like a lover's cove or something. What was he? Surrounded by teenagers? Well hell as long as coed's were involved he really didn't see much of a disadvantage there. "Hormone central?" He made no attempt to comment further. He certainly wasn't in any rush to get his groove on. Unless there was a certain Feral blonde lurking about.

Now, not only did he have to be somewhat weary, well no, he didn't need to be weary of people anymore if they were that friendly. Instead, he just had to be on the look out for people hooking up anywhere and everywhere. Perhaps he should look into getting a digital camera, or recorder. He could make a pretty penny on some amateur adult content. Of course as long as they gave him the copyrights. Hey, public places are freebie's in his book.

He quickly shoved that thought from his mind. He wasn't in the porn industry and he planned to leave it that way. With a inward smile, Brennan just continued to follow Danielle along the grass. Coming out of his little shell was providing to be much easier than expected. Shocking himself to say the absolute least.

"Oui, something like that," she agreed. "A lot of the people called 'ere are young. The youngest I believe is sixteen, and the oldest doesn't look much more than the middle of 'is thirties." She supposed the elves were all older, but the majority of the people here were in their teens and twenties.

She continued to walk along the stretch of grass before she pointed him toward the town hall. "I will wait out 'ere, unless you want me to come inside?" she offered to him with a little smile. "The woman in charge, she can be a bit scary at times, but she is all right."
