Adding my voice to the chorus of rejoicing currently happening on my friends page -- hooray for Bill C-38! I have never been so proud to be a Canadian.

Wow. Honestly, if I was asked even as few as 5 or 6 years ago if I could see this coming, I would have said "Not in my lifetime, no." This is just amazing.

Imagine that -- gun control actually, like, um, controls guns. Maybe even gun-related deaths. And stuff.

Hooray for The University of Western Ontario for recognizing the contributions of Dr. Henry Morgentaler by conferring on him an honourary Doctor of Laws, in the face of controversy and protesting anti-choice zealots. Yipes... now that the polls are all in, Liberals + NDP = 154 seats... precisely half... I guess that's not going to work out so well after all. Should be interesting (in the sense of that Chinese curse about living in interesting times, that is).

Hey, _locke, did I call your riding or what? Alright, it wasn't a landslide, but I knew your neighbours would stick by the NDP. Svend's recent troubles are only a big deal to Conservatives and Liberals.
