Roy/Tim
When I first got into DC fanfics I foundaravistarkheena 's stories and fell in love with the pairing. Everything about them just blended so well for me. Everything from their issues of abandoment and less than steller childhoods to both of their obvious love of family and loyaty to their friends and family. They're sense of humor in my head blends so well with Tim being dry and scarcastic and Roy being more boisterous and warm. I love all the things you can do with them from the age differance, to Roy being Dick's best friend and Tim being his little brother and all of the fun that can have. The differnt lifestyles is fun the play with and I love the visual they have with each other with Roy's Red Arrow and Tim's new Robin uniform - that red and black together is wonderful. I'm probably not being very articulate about why I like these two together so much, but they just work for me and I'm having fun writing them.
Dick/Roy/Tim
Frist off, I'm not a Roy/Dick fan. The reason for this is I see them being too similar to each other. Both Dick and Roy are leaders, they're dominate, they're use to calling the shots. Put them in a relationship and I see them butting heads, fighting, breaking up more than staying together. Add Tim to that then you have someone who is used to having someone else take the lead and needs someone to look after him (he'll never admit it, but yes he needs someone to take care of him.) Tim would be able to cut through their arguments and give them someone to focus on and care for. And Tim is stubborn enough that he needs two people to to take care of them, he's too self sacrifing and Dick and Roy can teach him to indluge I think.
intriguing AUs
Who doesn't like an Elseworld story? You take your favorite characters and put them in any situation you want and there is no rules to follow. Totally win/win. It lets my wide imagination run wild. So I was totally pysched to learn about the abc_au group. I've stories already lined up. A Sleeping Beauty adapation, A really cool pirate story, a cross over with Gambit. I think I'm going to have fun with this table.
Barbara Gordon
Babs has been my hero forEVER. My first memory of her was an old cartoon with Batman, Robin, and her with Bat-mite, and Bat-mite had a crush on her and was always tring to impress her. And of course there was the Adam West show which I loved as a kid - and I so want the series to come out on DVD so I can get the last season with her in it.. She's great, she's smart, she's driven, she had a goal, she wanted to be a hero, and she went after it when everyone else said she couldn't. Then the most horrible thing happened and Babs was shot, and then she became an even greater hero with donning the mantel of Oracle. I love her, now if only DC would only stop messing wihth her background everytime a writer decided to do an orgin story with her. Really people how diffucult is it to actually learn about the back story of the character your writing before you write them? It's not that hard, anyone with a computer or acess to a comicbook store can do it. Okay, I'll get off my soap box now. You want to know a secret? When I was younger I shipped Bruce/Babs.
holiday fics
I like the holidays They're fun, hectic, and there's never enough time to do everything. I like writing about them, the shopping, the baking (even if I don't bake) the wrapping , family dinners, and get togethers. And so since I can't do anything else it's what I can do for presents for my flist. I like it. Now if only I can get them all written during the holiday season. "sigh" And yes as stated in another post I'm already planning for next year. I got something different in mind - hopefully it works

Roy Harper
Roy was in my first issue of Teen Titans. Between his red hair and the whole 'Robin Hood' motif he had I fell for him. Whenever I picked up Teen Titan after that, I always made sure Roy was in it more times than not. I love the fact he's not a poor man's Dick Grayson. DC could have easily written him off, but they did something and gave him diffuculties with drug abuse, his rocky releationship with Ollie, and raising Lian. They did something different with Roy that they haven't done with anyone else before and it made him more interesting.
The Bat-Family
If given the choice between buying a Batman solo story or a Batman and Nightwing/batgirl/Robin/Red Hood ect comic book I will always buy the one with Batman with someone versus Bruce being alone. I think its because of the Saturday morning cartoons. It was always Batman and . . . He was always with someone. So I like family unit. I see Dick, Jason, and Tim (and Damian - yes even the little pysho) as his sons, with the girls as sisters, daughters, lovers, whatever, with Alfred in charge of everything. They're a screwed up family for sure, but they are family and you can do so much with them from fluff to drama.
That cat icon of yours
That is my cat Toby. Hubby took the picture and made the icon. I stole it from him "grins" I have two cats. Toby and CJ As you saw Toby is a gray tiger and CJ, his sister, is a long haired tuxedo. We named them after characters from the West Wing.
fluff
Yes, I'm guilty, I like fluff. The nice warm fuzzy moments, the slice of life moments, and happily ever after as they ride off into the sunset. together. It's much nicer than what they're doing in the comics now and I like my characters to be happy. (Except for when I'm being evil to them) So more times than not I'll give my guys lots of fluffiness
Tim/Bernard (the pairing that took over the internet)
I blameshannanagin aravistarkheena and felonazcorp for this - as I think everyone else does too. I don't even attempt to say I'm as good as writing this couple as these ladies but it's a fun pairing. I got suck into wriing it by way of their "everything is better with Tim/Bernard" challenge. aravistarkheena said she'd marry anyone who wrote them in a Tarzan verse and I'm a sucker for shameless begging so I caved and wrote them. I'm still waiting for my ring.
