Cosplay Chronicles: Day one
No Christian, this is not a frat activity. It's just like the activities you'll get at your org at your Campus. Besides, I wouldn't even dream of joining a fraternity. I don't want to ruin my chances of graduating.
Today was the start of the University of the Philippines-Manila fair (which is, as some Diliman people might say, a copy of their fair... whatever). And since we didn't have psych, I figured I would go to Paz Mendoza and try to help my organization, OMAKE.
OMAKE planned a maid cafe for the fair. And supposedly, I was to be a butler. DM already told me that he'd lend me a costume... But when I got to Paz Mendoza hall, no one was there. I later found out that we were to regroup at Rizal Hall. Sheesh.
So I went back to RH and found Az (affectionately nicknamed Genki-fukutaichou) with the others. I decided to walk around the Arts and Sciences building for the heck of it, seeing that the PolSci folks were still in Comm and I;ll be rotting in the lobby. So I walked around. I gave my candy (which I won from the chemistry group contest) to Cygne and Grace, primarily because I didn't like Hershey's Kisses. I gave the first one to Cygne but was eventually forced to give the other one to grace. Do figure.
So when I came back to RH, I talked with Jan Robert Go, who was, as usual, trying to define political terms and issues for the betterment of the university. We discussed freedom, and the fact that there is no absolute freedom because we are all bound by societal norms. Oh yes... This is what happens when Biochem meets Political Science.
So, DM appeared and told me my costume (REALLY GREAT THANKS, DM!) was in the OMAKE HQ. Since I was effing excited, I put it on, and it was probably the silliest thing I have ever worn in my life.The OMAKE officers said I looked cute. blech. Has the definition of cute changed over the past five minutes? I don't know.
So after that, I went back to Paz Mendoza, where Gino (affectionately nicknamed Meganetent-chan), was setting up our booth. Tattine-senpai and a few other upperclassmen were there, too. I was the only butler, and M-taichou wanted me to taste the pancakes. I didn't because I am so evil. I ate some katsudon from a nearby stall, and realizing that it was almost time for PE, I did another costume change to my PE uniform and hurried to SSWC.
PE was a nightmare. Panganiban made us do eight laps of brisk walking around NIH and SSWC (which is roughly one fourth of the Academic Oval in Diliman) and then four laps of jogging. I didn't fog. I walked. My stamina was already that depleted, anyway. So when it went to workout proper, I sat instead of doing exercise because my body wouldn't allow it. So panganiban used me as a demo simulate for the massage thing. Now I feel so violated. After that, I put on my costume again and went back to Paz Mendoza Hall.
When I came back, there were already a lot of people. They were like "Oh! It's a butler!" haha. And then, the promotional people (DM, Deniss, Oni-taichou) came back from err... promoting. And seeing as we only needed a couple of maids/butlers in the booth, they sent me to promote with DM. Then we say Ninachan
Nina-chan was so Cute in her maid outfit it made me squeal.
All together: KAWAII!!!!!!!
*ahem* Moving on... so, Me, Dm, Nina-chan, RJ, and that upperclassmen butler, accompanied by Deniss, (who wore casual clothes by the way, claiming he was some random anime character) went through the grounds giving out flyers (which I reffered to as "ammo") and going all "onegaishimasu!~" on everyone that passed by. Blech. Haha. A lot of maniacs tried to look under Nina-chan's skirt, but that's a different story. :D
So we went to RH, harassed a few people, and when we got back to Paz, I had megane-wata get my I-ching. I asked if I am to have a girlfriend. My I-ching said that I should remove "all forms of excess" whatever hell that means. Now it seemed so boring that we just took a few pictures of ourselves in costume and pissed Genki-fukutaichou off by saying "yay!~" many, many times....
That's basically it for today. I'd love to get some pictures tomorrow. Haha. Maybe I'll do that.
