The Great List of Recent (Good) Eats
- kamikaze papillote with various veggies and fish
- picking up our first CSA box. With our long, late winter and nearly non-existent spring, the first box contained mostly spring greens.
- Sunday's breakfast: crimini mushroom omelettes with italian artichokes and fiddle head ferns
- Tuesday's pizza: caramelized onions, rainbow chard, russet potato, and cotija cheese
- I forgot who makes these delectable ice cream flavors, but I think it has a bit of a Grecian look to the label - we've recently sampled both the honey pomegranate and chocolate fig flavors. Sooo. Goood!
- campfire s'mores. I've done them with the microwave in the past (oh, the foodie shame) but nothing beats a perfectly crusty marshmallow (I prefer them unburnt) oozing over semi-sweet chocolate squares between two ginger snap cookies (we couldn't find gluten-free graham crackers)
The Great List of Anticipated (Mostly Foodie) Goodness
- The Darkity'Rents are arriving tonight! This means either Ah Fong (home-cooking-ish Chinese place down the road from us) or Malay Satay Hut. We'll probably do Ah Fong since DarkityPa has a touch of the stomach thing that circulated during the reunion last week and you can't go to MSH without having their greasy rice! (And I think DP isn't in a condition to enjoy or appreciate said rice of sublime oilines.)
- Costco mega run - The Darkity'Rents love them some shoppin'. So we'll probably hit up the closest megalomart to pick up bulk quantities of some staple items (like fresh mozzarella. That's a staple!)
- IKEA food! I am a sucker for those tiny meatballs... and the 99 cent breakfast!
- Wing Wa BBQ King (which we just call "Wing Wa", though the full title sure is impressive). Gotta take them here to get their fair assessment.
Mm. Now I'm hungry.
