I had a great Fourth of July weekend. We all went up to the cabin in Tahoe for the first time this summer, took the boat out for the first time this summer, went hiking, played games, fished and watched the fireworks from a hill by Echo Lake. I did get attacked by mosquitoes walking down to the lake to get ice cream because I was wearing a thin shirt and got sunburned on my knees (only my knees) from being in the sun on the boat, but overall it was a lot of fun. A very summery weekend, and nice break from all the babysitting I've been doing. Babysitting has turned into a pretty regular thing and I've had to get up annoyingly early, switching between going to the little boy's house and having him come to mine. But it gives me something to do, and money, and he's cute and generally not too bratty. His parents found a daycare for next week when I'm at Sugarloaf, but I think I'm going to continue babysitting him sometimes after I get back.
Speaking of Sugarloaf, it's in less than two days! I'm really excited. Especially since it turns out Meghan is going the same week. Apparently there was an opening in art so she can be with me in my last year. Sad about the last year part, very happy about getting to see Meghan. She's at cheer camp right now, so she'll be going directly from there to Sugarloaf on Sunday. Patrick is still here, and apparently staying even though we'll both be gone next week. He's old enough to go this year, but we didn't sign him up on time. Hopefully he'll go next year, though. That would be awesome, even though I won't be there.
