I suppose that, as something that is nominally a journal, this is a more appropriate venue for keeping my brewing notes than a small daisy chain of post-its on faux wooden furniture. Amy is taking physics this semester, and she has been given leave to ask me questions about it when needed. Apparently they are studying the principles of energy and momentum conservation (i.e., collisions, for which you have to consider both types of conservation in general to make your calculations), though I doubt the professor has explained it ( Read more... )

I think there are multiple reasons that people at large disapprove of cynicism and cynics. One is that it may imply an automatic distrust in people, and pretty much even the most misanthropic people I've known dislike being pre-judged, assessed without regard to their merits ( Read more... )
