Someone I thought I knew once told me that only humans can defeat monsters.  That was a long time ago.  In the book, Frankenstein's monster killed himself after hurting the human who made him, killing his friends and family, framing someone else for it.  The monster's mate gets torn to pieces.

Nobody defeats anybody in that story.  Or maybe everyone ( Read more... )

I don't know if I'd agree with that.

I think people can be just as monstrous as anyone stitched together from bits of skin. Not everything that looks like a monster is.

I liked it without all the added passages and the poem that was quoted that technically hadn't been written at the time the story takes place.

The guy's name was 'Percy'. He had to get somebody to read his stuff somehow.
