Someone I thought I knew once told me that only humans can defeat monsters.  That was a long time ago.  In the book, Frankenstein's monster killed himself after hurting the human who made him, killing his friends and family, framing someone else for it.  The monster's mate gets torn to pieces.

Nobody defeats anybody in that story.  Or maybe everyone ( Read more... )

I liked the original version of her book better, before her husband edited it.

I liked it without all the added passages and the poem that was quoted that technically hadn't been written at the time the story takes place.

But at least Lucas had the decency to screw up his own work with re-releasing it. It's not like he did a special edition of the God Father.
