Working the 4th.
We had a quiet day at the Uncles. The stress levels I have at the 'berry are nonexistent at the bookstore. I spent more than I made, but hey I got more books to bring home. I got my copy of Alan Bean's Painting Apollo. I already have most of these from his earlier book, but I'm always happy to get new Apollo materials.
I also was happy to get my hands on a copy of Strange Brew. It has stories by Jim Butcher, Rachel Caine, Charlaine Harris, and the prolific Caitlin Kittredge, plus many others.
The best part of the day was when Pat Rothfuss stopped in from the convention to sign some stock and chat. Pat's everything you want in an author. He's talented, funny, slightly dangerous, and just a treat to hang with. We really enjoyed him taking the time to come in and visit. It was the highlight of my week. Now I need to figure out where I'm going to put all these books. Have a safe 4th!
