Car payments weren't too scary, still got change.
Well, time for another update. I took delivery of my 'new' staff laptop today. Yes, note the floaty line things, 'new' as in 'went through the laptops being formatted to snag the one that has a CD-ROM faceplate, or all the keys on the keyboard, or coffee stain free, especially on the screen' new. If it works. I plan on testing out the infra-red on my phone so I don't have to buy a hugely overpriced IR kit to backup a photo of my long lost grandfather, although I have to run a cable to my already overfilled router as I have no means of getting it on the Internet through wireless with my set-up. Ad-Hoc doesn't want to play. But I am happy with it and can hopefully be a nice addition to my arsenal of work related and general procrastination tools. And yes, it has a Stargate related background.
OK, other news. I am meeting the EuroCore people on Saturday in London. Ironic that it comes just as Ken Livingstone decides to scapegoat London Yout Killings on video games. Make you tempted to bring some posters along to stick on his office door telling him he is a twat for that cheap scapegoating. Oh well, I don't even know where it is or can be bothered to make them anyway ;)
But yeah, should be fun. Just getting there and back will be the painful bit.
Last point now, posts get too big. Right, Halo 3. Anyone who is involved in console gaming in any way shape or form has probably heard of this. And yes, it does rock. Elites model rocks, the Theater mode rocks, the multiplayer rocks and driving a Mongoose at silly speeds over ramps to land sideways in an awesome skid that ends up with you wrapped round a tree also rocks. Sergeant rank and climbing, look out for me as Arson Wulf on XBox Live.
Now to go watch the awesomeness that is Heroes. Don't forget to check me out on that same alias mentioned above on last.fm as well.
