Your 5 Years Are Up
Regular Sunday updates lasted long, ahahahahaha! Also Audioslave never happened, plus it turned out it was just Chris Cornell doing solo.
Anyway, you want the juicy bit. I know you do! The new job, the big 5 yearly event that some famous psychologist whose name I last saw back in Sixth Form said. So far it is pretty good, while at the supermarket job I'd have flipped at my manager's if I got my breaks late that was because I hated the job. THis one I don't care if I eat breakfast at 6-30am and eat nothing until 2pm, I love the job. It is fun, it what I wanted to do and where I wanted to do it. The only downside is my lack of teaching experience. The guys I work with, they can bark at a student when they do something wrong and they get them under control. I am still learning that being someone who avoids arguments rather then start them! Too polite and soft, I was always scared to confront customers and now finding myself too cautious approaching pupils that act up. But I am getting there, I think.
Soon I get my first payslip too. Now, a time to rejoice? Of course not, I have to pay for a Water Pump and Cambelt replacement for the car, 2 months of rent (one increased due to a new wage), 2 months of car insurance payoffs, start my car payoffs, pay the credit card and MAYBE have enough for the EuroCore meet up soon. Unfortunately I quit City of Heroes as I found I just didn't play it, but it is tempting to ditch World of Warcraft at times too. That said, I will have reduced time for the online RPG scene soon anyway. Anyone who owns an XBox 360 will likely know of Perfect Dark Zero. An early shooter for the console with online multiplayer, and my friend has this game and getting XBox Live soon! SO I plan on kicking his arse across the map. At least until my experience with online "ganking" in these games matches his and he does the same to me without seeing each other's screens. *grin*
What else? Well, I recently watched Stargate: Atlantis Season 1 and quite liked it, so I may get Season 2. I also have SG-1 Season 9 coming soon and YES, I have ALL seasons up to number 9. One more SG-1 Season I think and it is a complete addiction...collection aitting on my desk. Also I am fuelling another old vice, Warhammer 40,000. But my painting skills suck now :(
This is growing a bit now so time to cut things short (ha!). The problem with long gaps between updates, hopefully make another soon and it will be shorter. And what is scarier is Linux has cut my text to tiny sizes...
