As you can see I have made a few changes to the journal. I still need to re-instate the old #666699 purple theme (colour saved for future reference there, sheer brilliance!) but still the same journal I am stubbornly refusing to ditch, even if I don't go by this alias anywhere any more.
I picked up a Creative Zen today and it is brilliant. Picture quality is, well, quality and the sound is decent too. Unfortunately I ran into trouble with the software crashing and realised it is junk. The Creative Manager crashed not just the computer but the player too, and the lack of a case with the player is also a downer given I spent a shade over £100 on it. At least I picked up the 8GB version so I can fit most of my music collection on there.
I have also got a few days off as it is Half-Term. I was posted on the first three days and the someone didn't turn the heating off so I have been freezing my arse off in idle computer labs and the office trying to update things and wait on calls that never come regarding an MIA delivery driver who will probably turn up in the next two days when I am not there.
So, anything fun happened since the 10th? Well, on the 10th I participated in a protest on the World of Warcraft forums against unfair attention given to Paladins. The end result was me getting a 2 week posting suspension in a very heavy handed bit of emergency moderation. To tell you the truth, I am on the verge of jacking it all in. The game is no fun any more, Halo 3 provides a much better sense of achievement, skill and fun for the player and I have returned to City of Heroes again (Halo 3 permitting). In fact, Halo is a riot and I have recently signed up for the Anthro Special Forces group on the Bungie.net website. Elites also rock, they are not popular as they are very big but they look quite menacing, although I cannot settle on a colour for my character!
The EuroCore meet up also went well and I should have posted about it much much earlier. It started with a walk round London, gradually picking up members and shooting deer in the Trocadero (don't ask!). We then descended on a pub near Tottenham Court Road Station and plenty of beer began flowing. Rather pissed, three of us went to Brixton with me sufficiently out of it to not only go to Brixton in the first place on a whim, but attend a Black Metal concert by Watain, buy a shirt there and find a post-gig snack at McDonald's very tasty. Seriously, me and Mike had the same burger the day after and it was nowhere near as good.
Well, this is too big now. Sorry for swamping any friends pages again! At least it has titles now since (no subject) looks lazy and bad on my new layout. :(
