Well, Tim was up and about, walking around and around the halls to help make his bowels come back to life. He is on a liquid diet and eating all the things (pudding, ice cream, jellow). He was farting (which was, for the first time in his life, encouraged and cheered) and at the end of the day managed to poop, which most likely means he'll be able to start eating solids. The doc said that, if all goes well, and if the surgeon agrees, Tim will be able to go home tomorrow. We won't know about the pathology report until end of next week, most likely. The surgeon used metal staples to hold Tim's guts in and they'll need removing around then, too. He looked great, and got better as the day went by.
I'm beat. I came home at 6, because I was nodding off. I'm going to try to be at the hospital around 8 tomorrow to make sure I catch the doctors when they come in to see Tim.
