Missed yesterday's post because Sam and I got distracted by TeamFourStar's DBZ abridged. If you're at all familiar with Dragonball Z, or even just a fan of abridged series, I really recommend you look this one up because it had Sam and I rolling with laughter.
Spent most of today going out on field work. Spent the morning with Jules and we talked a lot during the car journey, we actually got so into a discussion about book to film adaptations that she missed her turning and we had to pull the map out to get back on track. Conversely, spent the afternoon with Richard who is a nice guy but really exhausting to be stuck with because he never shuts up. He took me to arrange a meeting with a local company who needed some H&S work done, how long do you think that would take? Ten minutes, fifteen at a push? Try forty damn minutes because he got caught talking about how he remembered the company when he was growing up. Then we stopped at a local tourist centre, it's located in a clocktower and the offices at the top are really cramped/a fire risk, so they wanted an EHO to check things over. Problem is, the clock dates back to the 1840s and it's a listed building, so they can't just make some DIY changes to layout.
Got home and waited for Sam to finish chatting with his mates, ended up being dinner time before we had a chance to sit down and watch Glee and even then he was only half paying attention and will probably watch it again on his own tomorrow. Had the bedroom to myself after that though, since there wasn't enough time to get a decent chunk of writing done I decided to make another stab at recording Good Advice and managed to get it recorded, edited and saved as an MP3 file before the family came up to bed.
Since I've got three podfics recorded, that should be enough for use as a sample when I post to the comm about trying to get podfic going. So I'm back to focusing on my fic starting tomorrow and I shall be finished up this weekend if the grace of my muse is with me.
