Spent the morning stuffing envelopes for Jules and then had to leave for an early lunch so that I could be at the Gateway to keep minutes for a meeting for Jane. It was a meeting concerning new tech, so I got to watch 30-50 year olds oohing and aahing over video conferencing software, etc. Jane asked if I wanted to play about with any of the demo-tech and I politely declined and spent the ten minutes doodling angel wings, an eye of Horus and a hummingbird in the top corner of the minutes notepad.
Asked the head of the CS department if I should take my tutorial for the afternoon shift and she said that since Carrie wasn't there I should probably leave it til tomorrow. Jacqui had typed up the chasing letter for me to send to the people who didn't respond to my calls concerning the food hygiene questionnaire, so I mail-merged and got to spend another hour stuffing envelopes. Been given a new task to do; I'll spend the morning tomorrow with Carrie and then finish up that task during the afternoon.
Didn't manage to write today because I spent my time recording podfic instead. I'm better at it than I thought I would be, though I did have to edit out and re-record certain sections in post. I've finished recording In Search of Something Sweet and Love Bite, I made a start on Good Advice but Mum came to bed part way through and I don't really fancy having her eavesdrop me reading the sex scene from the end out loud. I'm gonna use the fics as samples when I post to the comm, to give people an example of what podfic is and my own reading style. I'd really like to get some audio Winn fic going because I think it'll help the comm to flourish.
Ugh... Really should do the next question of the meme, but it's HARD and I don't want to be blase. Taking another rain check.
