Jobs, Jobs, Jobs...
Started my work experience placement on Thursday. Jane introduced me to everyone on the team and set about getting me a passcard, login access, etc. After that she sent me off to follow Sean around for the afternoon and I'm supposed to tag along with a different member of the team for morning and afternoon shifts until about Tuesday. So even in the short span of my first two days I've been on various different call outs with members of the team inbetween learning standard office duties; they certainly didn't lie when they said the job was going to be varied. The team all seem pleasant and they've been suitably welcoming, but I'm not the most social person in the world and it takes me a while to warm up to people so I'm still not feeling entirely comfortable.
In other news, Hanna landed herself a job at the Odeon which will be good for her because it won't strain her back and in her own words: "Free movies."
Also, Yasmin's picked up a cleaning gig in addition to her job working at Tesco out of sheer necessity because she'd been spending all her money paying rent to her sister and was sick of not having money for herself. So, with any luck, we'll all be earning a decent enough amount to start having days out to London, shopping trips and all that other stuff we've been planning for years but never been able to afford.
Special News Bulletin: This just in, Yasmin text me and so I'm off out down the pub to hang with her, Ashley and Jamie. Shall update later to say how the night went. Toodles.
