two stories that are somewhat related before i go to bed much belatedly.

you see, at the department of mysteries, if you are an auror, and not cataloging mysterious things, you get to take classes that are (allegedly) boring, but where they put all the newbie aurors together.  As it turns out, most of the new aurors are young.  and male.

So, I'm a cataloger.  All day long I catalog things.  I'm not the only one doing the cataloging though - there's a guy who started at the same time as me doing the same job all day long.  And because I'm impossibly, retardedly competative, I have to see who has cataloged more things each day, and I sometimes do little updates during the day as well ( Read more... )
