Adventures in Mysterious Librarianation

Work got super crazy all of a sudden at the DoM today.  I'm working on a project where I get to search for death-eater names, and as many of you know - they like to tell people one name, when they're actually called another.  So I was just wrapping up two weeks of work on this one group of names (there are like, 10 on my list), when I get an email from the auror in charge.  It has another piece of paper that was originally blank in my first set of orders, and this is the corrected version.  Which has about 3 *new* different versions of death-eater names.  Fan-freaking-tastic.  This means I've got to re-do those searches, and I'll get MORE results.  And she wants it by next Friday.  And I'll be at a conference next Thursday and Friday, which means I'd have to have it done by Wednesday which is pretty much impossible.  Luckily, she is very nice and I asked for an extension as soon as I saw it was HUGE, so I think I'll be able to get it done.  But now I'm worried that I won't be able to finish a separate project for a friend at the DoM who is an auror.  And I made him give me a due date so that it would get done.  And now...Ugh.  Stupid work that is getting busy all of a sudden!!!

Thank goodness it looks like I'll get my raise after all, and potentially not have to move so I can make more money.

In happy news, on the way out of work a dude held the door for me.  A dude carrying a tote bag.  Dudes don't carry tote bags!!!  Nor do they wear their sunglasses like headbands, pushed all the way back.  But this dude did both.  It made me lol so much, and I had to keep it bottled up so that he would not hear me as I walked behind him on the way to the parking lot.
