So I don't think I've posted much about my job. I can't tell you much about the DoM, but this is what I've gathered after more than a full week, which has at this point included some actual work:
1) I seem to have acquired a great sense of smell in my time working there. I totally pick up on little things like how disgusting the stagnant water smells, but also, there have been inexplicable days where it smelled like freshly baked donuts and/or pretzels outside (that was a very good day). also - there is a bag of butter popcorn that i was given and that i keep in my desk, and every time i open it, it's kind of amazing. and then one of the special rooms in our office is slightly warmer (because my office is frigid), and thus smells good too. especially is someone has had food in there recently.
2) So, I get to see people in military uniform on a regular basis. And what makes me really happy is when it's a hot guy wearing that uniform, and when that uniform is an air force jumpsuit...because i could totally see his butt outlined perfectly, and i was a very happy girl that day as i walked behind mr. air force on the way to the parking lot.
3) i get to wear all my professional clothes! and that makes me happy. but i fear i don't have enough (how is that possible when i have too many clothes/shoes, period???). want to help me out? see the poll.
4) so, the department of mysteries is obviously a section of the ministry of (muggle) magic [thanks ellen!]. muggle magicians have a wiki for the ministry, and i signed up for it, because i am a member of the ministry, and am allowed. and as such, i get to add all kinds of cutesy badges to my wiki profile page, and can even find out who the other people in the ministry are that attended my same schools, which is kind of neat. i've gotten really into the ministry wiki, and i don't even have anything intelligent to add/edit yet!
5) And now for the poll. To complete this properly, follow the links concerning clothing, and then answer the questions:
