Sophia's wish
Every year, I always have to drag myself out of bed to put up our Christmas tree. Unlike many homes with professional decorators who design trees and seasonal decor, ours is a very low key and normal home. We put up our own tree, we have traditional ornaments I've collected since we got married, we use a synthetic tree, and I insist on making it a family event. Every single branch, light and ornament is hung by either me, Patrick or the kids. It takes a lot of work. I have to admit, I get really lazy just thinking about it. But once the messy process starts and the Christmas carols are playing, I get in a trance and totally convert myself to Mrs Claus. And then everyone is happy.
This year I wanted to make ornaments with the kids. I didn't get around to it but instead I just gave them materials like foam paper, glue, and colouring pens and told them to do whatever they want. Well, Soph and Lily came up with the cutest Christmas ornaments. I love them! I have to take a photo so I can share them with you.
I also ordered the cutest battery operted LED lights from my friend's source. They're safer and more environmentally-friendly. They're actually not yet available in retail stores but I wanted to try them out. But they haven't arrived yet. Once they're here, I will show you how cute they are.
Meanwhile, I mixed my hobby, business and pleasure at the same time and came up with these lovely images.
Our Lady of Perpetual Help with amethyst. All handcrafted.
Mother and child with white topaz. This is such a tender and sweet piece.
Our Lady of Mt Carmel with blue topaz.
A bigger medal of the Ascension of Mary.
My Daphne chairs come in different colours, available in Rustan's Makati & Shangrila and Heima Store LRI Design Plaza.
Have you put up your Christmas ornaments already?
