Saturday was a long day
We observed the full cycle of life: birth, transition and death.
Death
I couldn't sleep and I had to be up early. I think it's because my schedule is wacky. I think I knocked out around 6 a.m. I had to be awake at 7 a.m. Woke, put on a dark gray dress shirt, black slacks, black shoes. R and I were going to a burial in Ventura today. Some mutual friends' uncle died, so we went for moral support. We were at the cemetery from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Afterward, we went to J's place in Camarillo to change for our next activity.
Transition
CAMARILLO -- Khaki shorts, Hawaiian shirt, white Sketchers tennis shoes. It's a graduation party. J's cousins and sister had graduated from college and high school respectively. It was a food fest. We dined on Mexican food and great cake. Then went back to J's place to play some Wii. Left at 7ish. Arrived back home 8ish.
Birth
A change of clothes, T-shirt, jeans, white Adidas sneakers. Grab the alcohol and video games. Drive out toward San Bernardino for a birthday party. K was having a gathering the her house. Very tired during the drive. Accurate to TomTom, we arrive at 10:30 p.m. Had some drinks, woke up. Played Guitar Hero and Karaoke Revolution. Had more drinks. Chatted with her friends. They promised to set me up with a mutual friend. More drinks. Ate cake.
Home
A pleasant drive home. We get home at 3 a.m. I shower... fall asleep exhausted. Wake up at 6 a.m. to find myself still on the couch. Move my slumber into my bed. Wake at 2 p.m. to head into work.
