Sometimes, when people think about me, they think about the beef jerky I bring. There's this brand of jerky I love made by
World Kitchens (Old Fashion flavor). I first found this jerky at a Vons in Carpinteria on my way to an airsoft photoshoot. The packaging is pretty plain, it's not whiz-bang wow. But I bought it because it was big (1 pound as opposed to 6 or 8 ounces). And I'm glad I did. The jerky isn't typical of regular American jerky. I think it's a blend between American and Asian flavors. The flavor reminds me of Jimmy's Chinese Beef Jerky. It's like Jimmy's in flavor, and moist, but less flaky. It's very good.
Before, whenever I work at conventions go to airsoft games, etc., I would bring along snacks and drinks to share. But since the airsoft photoshoot, I try to bring along a supply of World Kitchens beef jerky. This week I'm working at the Star Wars convention at the Los Angeles Convention Center, so I had to track me down some jerky. Since I originally found the jerky at Vons, that's the first store I will go to find it. I bought two bags yesterday at a hefty price of $13.99 each. On may way to the convention center today, I stopped by Max Foods to pick up soda... and I spotted World Kitchens jerky there as well! But it was $7.99, marked down from $9.99! I bought two bags! Now, I do love my jerky, but not enough to eat the extra $6 per bag. On my way into work, I stopped by that same Vons and returned the first two bags and got my $27 back. I'll be going back to Max Foods tomorrow and buy up two more bags of jerky for the weekend.
