I haven't watched ep 16 of New Tales of the Gisaeng yet, but apparently, Damo broke up with Saran, telling her he was only courting her to get into her pants and since it wasn't working (i.e. no hanky-panky ensued), they should end it.

I am not really caught up on the latest eps so no idea how it got to that point, but if this was some sort of a dysfunctional ploy to get her to cling to him, that is sure to backfire - Saran is incredibly emotionally self-sufficient and closed-off, she's hardly going to turn into insane kdrama secondary girl. She's just going to wall off forever. I loved her response to him though - thanking him for telling her the truth, even if it's a cruel truth, and she wished he told her sooner because she liked him. Awwwwwww.
