What is your biggest drama disappointment?

You know how it goes - you get so excited about a particular cast of an upcoming drama only for the actors to pull out (Hong Gil Dong - though in this case I preferred the new cast). Or the drama episode order gets ridiculously cut screwing up the rhythm (wtf Strike Love!) or way extended so it drags like mad (Goong, though I still love the result). Sometimes a drama starts out wonderfully and disintegrates into frustration (Boys Over Flowers). Or even worse, this upcoming drama changes plots entirely (Cain & Abel - though once again I love the result) or gets scrapped utterly (Four Seasons).

So, in your watching time, what is your biggest drama disappointment?

It's pretty easy for me - the winner hands-down is the scrapping of the Korean drama Daemul. I was drooling over it for months: based on a josei manhwa about a gigolo who is hired to seduce and discredit the first female President of Korea (who is older than he is btw), Daemul was so close I could taste it - it had a production team, a writer, and the cast was set (with the leads being played by Go Hyun Jung and Kwon Sang Woo. OMG). They had training and rehersals. And then the preproduction mess of various sorts happened and it got scrapped. I think my not-so-inner drama fan might never get over this one. Ever. There keep being rumors of it being back on but since I haven't heard anything concrete, it's pretty logical to assume it's dead.

There are other dramas which did not happen that I wish did but either they got scrapped so early (that rumored Yoon Eun Hye/Joo Ji Hoon drama about a girl who rooms with a guy who pretends to be gay in order to find a place to live, or Kim Rae Won soccer player drama) that I did not get too invested, or other dramas where I got 'compensated' for it being scrapped (I would have loved to see Four Seasons with Rain as a mercenary and Gianna Jun as a journalist, written by ALTK writer, but IRIS shall fill that craving nicely). And some I have just repressed - that thing about Tokyo Tower being scrapped because Joo Ji Hoon got convicted of drug use - I refuse to unrepress that whole JJH issue.

But Daemul? I get RAGEY even when I think about it.

I have other drama disappointments of course (second half of BOF and East of Eden) but none of the other ones come close...

What are yours?
