I love it when I get blinded by a story idea so prominent that it inexorably takes over and I'm incapable of thinking of anything else until it the basics have been figured out.

Do you know what really pisses me off? Blatant plagiarism. I say "blatant" because, to some degree, we all plagiarize--most of the time it's at a subconscious level and we don't even realize we're doing it. What have I done?

I really love it when Word thinks it knows English better than I do. Especially when it comes to punctuation. I can almost guarantee with 100% certainty that any time it suggests using a semi-colon, it's wrong. (Key word being 'almost', because I'm sure there are exceptions to every rule. But one time in fifty million? Not so significant.)
