Read over my old posts and didn't realize I left for that long~

My "older brother" and his wife just came and went from China. They came in the middle of April and left last week. It's their first time in the U.S. and they were coming for their honeymoon =). They stayed at our place for a week so I got to play tour guide and chauffeur which I totally did not mind. It was a lot of fun showing them around. We spend an hour walking on Grand St. because they were so fascinated by people's front lawns and gardens hahahaha. I learned that if you want to make money over there, buy a whole bunch of Coach bags at the outlets, and sell them there lol. Don't buy the Apple products and sell them there cos you won't make money.

I'm the classroom TA for Critical Care Nursing this summer. I wished I was the clinical TA instead, but it didn't work out that way. It's been good so far though. It's nice reviewing for the pathophysiology and critical care bedside nursing. It's also a challenge phrasing things so that other people can understand hahaha. I have to keep reminding myself that just because it makes sense a certain way in my brain, it may not work that way in another's. The new class has been generally good so far. They're ELMS, so of course they're smart. I'm just hoping that I can be up to their standards.

I'm still applying to nursing positions. It would be amazing if I can become a critical care nurse. It would be more amazing if I can work in the Bay Area. It's not coming yet though. I'm thinking that I have to redo my resume. I'm seeing a lot of new grad positions posted, but they require that students have graduated already. It kinda sucks that I'm still in school because it really limits my choices. I'm hoping that when we finish, more opportunities will open up.

So what am I doing now? Teaching, job searching, getting through school, making connections.... and waiting. The last part is a miserable thing.

And I should probably stop procrastinating now and do my paper.... T___T
