My new apartment!
Things just keep moving forward toward my being a real grown-up in this crazy world! I went down to Chicago last week, and found the perfect apartment!! I absolutely love it! The only bad thing is its on the first floor in terms of safety, but its in a safe area and there is a garden apartment below me w/easier access than my apartment, so I'm not too worried. Plus there's an EL stop (the train which runs all over chicago and to downtown) at the end of my street! Talk about a short walk! Plus I'm only about a 20 minute walk from downtown Bucktown which isn't bad at all. Perfect location and perfect space! Plus in the apartment there's a living room, beautiful kitchen, dining area, 2 bedrooms (one of which I'm going to make into a study), and a little nook that will be Austin's! There is also a yard so I can sit outside when it's nice out! I'm getting the lease to sign in a few days, and then come July 1 it will be officially mine!!
Not much else is going on. Summer is finally here and I don't have classes anymore, but I'm still trying to study everyday. It's really hard and for some reason I seem to be doing worse on my practice quizes by the day which I can't figure out. It's making me a bit concerned...but I'm just going to try and keep working hard to make sure I pass my board exam.
So that's it for me right now. I can't believe in one month I'll be moving to Chicago and starting the next chapter in my life as a grown up, working a full time job, living on my own, and best of all finally being in the same city as Joey!! I can't wait for that more than anything!!
Well, off to study some more of course. If anyone is ever down in Chicago starting in July be sure to let me know! I'll have plenty of room and would love visitors! So adios for now...back to my studying I go.
