yes, i'm still alive!
Wow so it's been months since I updated. Which is kinda funny because I check almost everyday to see who has updated...but I never have. I kept meaning to, but then got really busy. So...my life in a nutshell from the past few months:
-Graduated from MSU!!
-Received my BSN!!
-Got a job in Chicago!!
-Get to work in a Neonatal Intensive Care Unit!!
So basically, things are great! Graduation was a little over a week ago. I can't believe my college years are over. It went by so incredibly fast. Seems like just yesterday I was moving into my first dorm room and couldn't find anything on campus. Now I'm an alumna, and it still hasn't sunk in.
The next step for me is studying for my NCLEX nursing board exam. The most important test I will ever take in my entire life. I don't know when I can take it yet, but it'll probably be around late June early July. I have so much studying to do. Last week I had review classes on content all week, and now for the next 2 weeks I am taking the Kaplan study class. Then I have about a month to review and practice on my own. Hopefully I learn enough to pass with flying colors!
I'm also now in the process of looking for an apartment in Chicago!! I'm planning to move in July and sign for a July 1 lease since I start work on July 30. That is my first day! There's a lot to do including finding a place, buying furniture, and getting all settled living on my own by myself for the first time ever. It shouldn't be too bad though because Joey and some of my other friends will be there too and I'm super excited to live in a big city!!
I got my dream job working there in the NICU. I get to spend all day working with the premature babies who are sick and need to get better. It's so exciting. I loved my clinical there all semester so I can't wait to work there for a lot of years to come. It's my dream job!!
So other than graduating and getting a job nothing all that exciting has been going on. Just going with the flow and taking each day as it comes. With it being summer I might have time to update more, but we'll see how busy I end up being. And with that, I shall say adios till next time!
