Deborah Kerr died on the 16th, at the age of 86, but except for hearing my dad say he saw it on the news, I haven't seen a report of it anywhere.
She was wonderful. I grew up watching tons of old movies, and An Affair to Remember with Cary Grant is one of my favorites. And of course there's The King and I with Yul Brenner, which is a classic, and has always been one of my mother's favorites.
She was classy, sassy, and sardonic, and it broke my heart when I heard. I don't know how she died, but it was in her native UK.
We're slowly but surely losing all the classics.
