As some of you know (and some of you don't), my friend
robynadele0406, has battled osteosarcoma (bone cancer) this year, and won. We hope.
Here's the thing. She went for her tests after she finished chemo, and everything came back clean except for the scan of her lungs. There's something there - it could be scar tissue, an infection, or something else. She had a biopsy on a bit of cancer they found there months ago and removed it. But there's a possibility it could be back.
We do not want that to be the case at all. Robyn's been through a lot. She had to have part of the bone in her upper right arm removed and replaced with a donor bone, so that surgery plus all the chemo have taken its toll. I believe the girl deserves some good luck and stress-free recovery time, and I'm hoping God feels the same.
So what I'm asking y'all to do, whether you know her or not, is to please pray for her/send good thoughts her way. She had the test on her lungs today, which she'll get back early next week, and we all need to pray it comes back negative for cancer.
I have her permission to share this with you, and I really hope you'll help her out. Robyn is an incredibly strong, resilient young woman who has faced something we all pray to never have to face, and she's done it with such dignity and lack of complaint that she amazes me. I love her like crazy, and I just want her to be well again so she can get on with her life and do the incredible things of which I know she's capable.
So here's to it being just a little bit of scar tissue, and a long, healthy life ahead. We're here for you, Robyn. ♥
