Why do our parents have to get older??
Yesterday was a very strange day and one that makes you realize that as you get older so do your parents.
1st: My sister's best friend from high school lost her dad to cancer on Saturday morning. The viewing was yesterday and it was really sad, as I have only lost one grandparent out of the four and I was 10 at the time. Let alone losing a parent I can't even imagine.
2nd: My coworker's father went in for a scope and it wasn't too bad, but again it makes you realize that as you age so do your parents.
3rd: I get home from worker to get a call from my brother saying my father is in the ER. I guess to make a long story short he feel getting out of his work truck and hit his head on some rocks. They gave him some staples to close the wound and after several tests sent him home. It really hit home when I got the call as I don't know what my mom would do if something happened to my father. He is ok and at home recovering, but it is amazing how fast things can change in the blink of an eye!!
