Night 51: Activities Shed

[from here]

It was lucky he'd remembered to bring his flashlight with him, Kibitoshin decided upon entering the shed. It wasn't huge, but there were more than enough worryingly-perfectly-sized holes for... creatures... to hide in, and far too many things for them to hide behind. Comparatively speaking, where the three of them stood in the middle of ( Read more... )

"Ah, well, I don't think my world has kaioshin, but perhaps we just call them by a different name, no?" Bucciarati responded as he walked into the shed, "After all, in my world, gods and deities aren't understood very well. It's entirely possible that what we refer to as gods or prophets are kaioshin like you. Still, I'm not exactly the most religious person, so I'm not the best person to ask." Bucciarati then had Sticky Fingers cross its arms and turn its nose up. Bucciarati rolled his eyes. "Sticky Fingers says that his species has evolved past the concept of religion, but he's also the one that can't make a spaceship that doesn't break down at the drop of a hat, so that's probably a moot point ( ... )

Kibitoshin laughed, shaking his head chastisingly at the pair of them. Really. It was like dealing with Fai and Sechs all over again- and, truth be told, he actually rather enjoyed throwing jokes back and forth between the three of them. It was certainly a lot easier on his nerves to play Mr. Sensible on the side. "Now, now, both of you, that's enough," he said in his sternest voice, hoping his smile wouldn't give him away, "we've got baseball bats to find."

Not that it took all that long. While Kibitoshin had been investigating the various coloured shirts piled up on one box, it looked as though Michaelangelo had struck gold. There they were! He hadn't realised they came in metal as well as in woo-

Bashing in a monster's skull? Satisfying?Ah... not that enjoying fighters made you bad at all, but there was something about the way Michaelangelo had just said that which set the Kaioshin on edge. Oh, dear. Was... was he going to turn out like Sechs? Or, even worse, someone like Vegeta? And the man had seemed so peaceful, too! "W-well, ( ... )

"Yes, sir..." Bucciarati said, pouting, "You never let us have any fun! And besides, he was the one that started it! You should've heard him call me an inferior species!" Heh. This was nice. It had been a while since Bucciarati had been able to joke around like this. Even back in Italy, he had precious little time between assignments from the boss where he could just relax with the rest of his little gang or just roam the streets of the city and talk with the townsfolk ( ... )

Ahh, really! How was it that, whatever universe he was in, two alien races just couldn't seem to get along without breaking out the interspecies insults? It seemed like people all across the universe had some sort of in-built pride mechanism that couldn't let anyone remember how amazing they were. Still- Kibitoshin had to admit that Sticky Fingers and Michaelangelo didn't exactly look like they were arguing. This was just playful banter after all ( ... )
