Nightshift 22: Chapel

Xemnas literally barged into the chapel. The first thing the Nobody did was closing the doors, attempting to lose the spiders. He slightly leaned against the doors, trying to catch his breath. It was then he took a look at his surroundings. Because of the moonlight shining through the windows, he could see well enough even without his flashlight.
He appeared to be in some kind of chapel, though something was amiss. Xemnas wasn't a religious person himself, but he had seen a number of chapels and churches. This certainly looked like a chapel. There were two rows of benches, glass-stained windows and even an organ. But chapels (or similar religious locations) usually had several relics no matter what religion, crucifixes and bibles for example. Glass-stained windows usually had some kind of religious image.
This chapel, however, lacked all of it. To Xemnas, this was very strange. Chapels usually had some relics related to whatever Deity was worshiped, but this one didn't.
What was its purpose, then?
