This was no night to be lingering; Aidou sealed up M52 in his usual fashion and left hurriedly enough. He ignored the intercom beyond noting, with not a little suspicion, that 'wandered off' meant the usual babbling idiot was possibly planning something else. Who knew. The disgusting, rasping nurse's words weren't worth thinking on

He noticed with some distaste that Aidou was also in the same hallway. Had their rooms always been so close together and he'd just not noticed? Well, he thought, there was no time for petty arguments, he had a mission to complete, and as long as they stayed out of one another's way, there wouldn't be a problem. Allen tried not to look in the other boy's direction as he crept quietly down the hall.

"Here." Pointing at the door with his thumb, Sanosuke actually waited for Zuko to catch up. "It's where a guy I know told me to meet him. He's supposed to have been here for a few days, and his memory's off, but he's the most trustworthy person I know."
Which didn't sound as complimentary as Sanosuke meant it to be, but that didn't matter to the man. He pounded hard on the door a couple of times, Kenshin one of the few who would earn the courtesy of Sano's patience before the man kicked the door open.
At least for a minute or two.

Zuko waited silently. Trustworthy and memory problems didn't sound like they went hand in hand. But he was already at the door, so he might as well see what this man had to say...
When the door opened they were greeted by a short, young man with red hair, also wearing the hideous grey uniform. Zuko's eyes immediately went to the scar on the man's face, but quickly averted his gaze when he realized Kenshin was looking at the one on Zuko's face.
"I--," The prince found himself in a predicament as Kenshin began introductions. Neither of these men seemed to recognize Zuko on sight, so his first instinct was to lie. But he remembered the Earth Kingdom town he'd stayed at months ago, how they trusted him before they learned who he was and what he could do. If they were going to attack him he'd rather get that out of the way BEFORE they became potential allies.
"My name is Zuko," he stiffly replied after the pause, and returned Kenshin's bow, his whole body tense and ready to fight.

Ignoring the few other maggots in the hallway, he quickly continued. Hopefully, tonight would be a little exciting, or he'd bore himself to death.

He checked his coat pockets to make sure he had everything he'd need - his radio, flashlight, pen, and journal - then walked down the hallway, his pace almost a run. There was somewhere he needed to go before he met with the detective, and he wanted to get there as quickly as possible.
